Canyoning of the "Riou"

Very aquatic according to the period, the canyon of the Riou is par excellence a vertical and technical canyon.

Situated close to the village of Moustier Holy Marie, the cascade of the Riou is a place of the more appreciated of the tourists. This last cascade of 40 meters is not surely the most impressive of the canyon.

After having distributed you your personal material (helmet harness, combination complete néoprène), you will do a walk of approach of about one hour along a path of hike.

Arrived to the departure of the canyon, your guide will explain you the different orders permitting to practice the coming down in abseiling in all security.

The first left from the canyon and a succession of small coming down in active recall until 10 meters in a very narrow environment.

The course continues and tighten himself. The coming down in recalls are higher and go until 45 meters of top. You tighten in total autonomy to reach last.

Accessible course from 16 years.

Don't forget to take: a pair of shoes of sport of type basquet, a swimsuit, of water and meal for the pose lunch. If you think of it, a cap and or of the solar cream for the walk of approach.

Of course, the practice of the canyoning requires to know how to swim and to be able to dive without none problems.
